Guide to International Business Partnerships

With the Japanese yen at its weakest in 35 years, many trading businesses continue to have the best opportunity to import Japanese merchandise. Since the Corona Shock dawned, Japan has been flooded with tourists from all over the world. Everywhere you go in Japan, history, culture, food, and shopping are of the highest quality in the world, yet the prices are surprisingly low. Sushi that costs $200 in the United States will set you back $10 in Japan. A glass of sake costs $20 in New York, but in Japan you can buy a bottle and get change. Taking advantage of the historic depreciation of the yen, we will promote our project to spread the highest quality sake and food products from Japan to the rest of the world.

Bringing Japanese Sake to the World

In recent years, Japanese sake has become increasingly popular in the United States, European countries, and Asian countries. Sake is served in many fine restaurants and other Japanese restaurants in many countries, but unfortunately, there is often a mixture of inferior products among them. We have launched a project to bring authentic Japanese sake to the world. Our project has been adopted by the Japanese government (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) as a subsidized project. We have also obtained a license to export alcohol outside Japan, which is very difficult to obtain nowadays, and are now ready to do business outside Japan.

About TOYAMA

The Hokuriku region (Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, and Niigata prefectures), which includes Toyama Prefecture, is known as one of the best rice-growing regions in Japan, and its rice is among the highest quality in Japan. The reason why the rice tastes so good is because of the abundance of air, water, and soil. This is why sake made in this region has a noble, mellow aroma and fruity flavor that is as highly regarded around the world as the rice itself. Umeshu (plum wine) and fruity sake (fruit wine) made using sake brewing techniques have also become popular.

Bringing Japanese Sake to the World
Invitation to International Business Partners

The Hokuriku region is one of the leading sake-producing regions in Japan, and many sake breweries continue to produce high-quality sake. In recent years, Japanese food and sake have been attracting attention around the world, but it is not easy for each small sake brewery to market their sake to the world. We are seeking partners outside of Japan with the goal of using our experience to bring Japanese food culture to the world, with a focus on delicious sake from Toyama and Hokuriku prefectures.

Japanese Sake

We have a selection of sake from the Hokuriku region, including Toyama Prefecture, as well as high quality sake from small sake breweries scattered throughout Japan. We also have products that are not listed in this catalog and can stock them upon request.

Umeshu (plum wine) and fruit wine

It is a typical Japanese fruit wine that has become very popular among foreign visitors to Japan. Sweet with a hint of sourness, ume-shu can be served in a variety of ways, including straight, on the rocks, or with soda. It can also be used in sweets as a syrup for adults. An excellent plum wine made by a sake brewery.

Japanese Whiskey

The only whiskey distillery in the Hokuriku region is the Saburomaru Distillery of Wakatsuru Shuzo, which also produces the Japanese sake Naekaya, with a history of over 70 years and a smoky flavor like Irish whiskey that is addictive. It is also packaged in a sake bottle, just like a sake distillery!

Japanese Snacks

enbei are traditional Japanese snacks that have been enjoyed since ancient times, made by baking rice into fragrant, crispy crackers. In Toyama, the mainstream ingredient for these snacks is not ordinary rice, but glutinous rice, used to make "okaki," which requires much more effort than regular senbei. Due to the use of glutinous rice, these snacks have a fluffy and crunchy texture. Okaki from Toyama, incorporating local specialties like firefly squid and white shrimp, are truly exquisite delicacies.

Japanese Seasoning

The reason why Japanese food was inscribed on the World Intangible Cultural Heritage list is not only because of the beauty and presentation of its cuisine, but above all because of its delicious taste. Since ancient times, Japanese people have pursued umami in addition to sweet, spicy, and salty tastes. The deep taste and exquisite umami that salt and sugar alone cannot produce is found in the seasoning. By utilizing the seasonings that the Japanese have cultivated, it is possible to make meat, fish, poultry, and all other dishes even more delicious.

Contemporary crafts using traditional techniques

Our city of Takaoka, Toyama, has flourished for more than 400 years as a town of copper and iron metal crafts. Today, these traditional techniques are applied to tableware and interior design, and are highly valued not only in Japan but also in the rest of the world. In recent years, tableware made of 100% tin has become popular, and we also carry it.
